It’s time to turn over a new leaf…
We are closing Rock Paper Plant at the end of the year.
After teaching countless workshops, designing half a dozen craft kits, ordering pounds and pounds of moss and wool, and surviving one global pandemic… we are finally hanging up our felting needles. We are closing Rock Paper Plant at the end of the year.
This fall, we’ll teach our final workshops, participate in our last markets, and sell off the remainder of our felting kits. We’d love for you to join us as we celebrate the end of this chapter.
Rock Paper Plant was born out of friendship, a shared love for arts and crafts, and, honestly, a response to challenging times. After the 2016 election, living in DC felt like a constant assault on our values and identities as women of color. Amidst the turmoil, crafting became our refuge—a way to reset and reclaim our sense of peace.
When we started Rock Paper Plant, the joy of seeing our workshops sell out affirmed that we weren’t alone in needing this creative escape. When the pandemic hit, we adapted by moving our workshops online and introducing our DIY kits so that everyone could have a creative outlet, no matter where they were.
Thank you for being part of our journey, supporting our small business, and letting us help you connect with your creative side. Your support has meant the world to us.
Here's to new beginnings and endless creativity.
