Rock Paper Plant is teaming up with the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s Beyond the Studio series for a fun virtual workshop to celebrate the National Cherry Blossom Festival!

During this engaging Zoom workshop, participants hear how Rock Paper Plant got its roots while learning the basics of needle felting to create a 3D cherry blossom out of wool.

Please note that space is limited for this program. Thanks to our friends at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, your subsidized ticket includes the cost of materials needed for the activity, instructions, and postage. Materials kits will be shipped to participants in advance of the program. Participants must register by March 7.

Materials kit includes:

• Pink and brown wool roving

• Two felting needles

• Foam felting pad

• White felt fabric

• Glue

• Embroidery hoop

Participants will need to provide their own scissors and a pencil.
