Our gift sets lets you give someone the materials and instructions to make two of our DIY projects, a winter saguaro cactus with tiny hat and scarf, and a cactus ornament for your holiday tree or garland. Everything will be packed in one box. Felted cacti can survive in even the most inhospitable climates and look really cute on your Christmas tree or mantel. This kit comes with detailed instructions to walk you through each step.

Students will…

• Learn about the origins and mechanics behind needle felting, a method of creating three-dimensional structures out of wool

• Master the fundamentals of sculpting basic shapes out of wool

• Make a needle-felted cactus in a terracotta pot and cactus holiday ornament

The kit includes:

• Wool in green, brown, pink, and red

• Core wool roving for practice

• Felting and sewing needles

• Fishing line

• Foam felting pad

• Tiny terracotta pot

• Knit cap and tiny scarf for all the winter feels

Because this kit contains sharp needles, we do not recommended it for children under 12.

Students will need:

• A pair of scissors

• Hot, fabric, or super glue (optional)
